Last Night

We just received the latest pictures of our grandson, Carter, and after spending our last night in Kelowna, we are flying to Calgary tomorrow afternoon. We will be seeing our family before we fly to Europe on Wednesday night.

As we begin our last week in Canada, we look forward to another week of packing (re-packing), LOL, our worldly possessions back into our trailer. We will miss the nice house we spent the past five months at, and the many special people we've met in our short time in Kelowna. Just to name a few: A special thank you to Reenie at BCAA travel for all her effort in helping us organize our trip and get our itinerary together; also to Trish at Valley First insurance for all her help over the past five months as we settled in to the Okanagan, and lastly a big thank you to the special people at Lifestyles chiropractic, for starting to get our bodies tuned-up for the trip. The time is getting closer for us to get on the big aluminum cylinder and wing our way to Calgary, then London, England. I thought I'd post some pics of our grandson, Carter, before we go.

Retirement

Well, the BIG day finally arrived! On February 1, 2008, I officially retired from West Fraser Mills (Weldwood) after 31+ years. Jan and I are looking forward to retirement, and we're starting out by taking a 2-month trip to Europe. We're leaving Kelowna on March 31, spending a couple of days in Calgary with our children, then flying to London to start our holiday.
