April Fool's

No, this isn't an April Fool's story! We finally got away from Kelowna Monday afternoon. It was an interesting getaway!

We checked with a shuttle service and a cab company for rates to go to the airport. The shuttle was a bit cheaper so we arranged for them to pick us up, and at the appropriate time a cab showed up, so we loaded our suitcases and left. About 3 min later the phone rings, and it's the shuttle service advising us that they will be about 7 min late. I said that's funny as we're already on our way to the airport. I guess that cab showed up before the shuttle and we mistook it for our ride. Oh well. It was only $25.00 with the tip.

We checked our two bags and started going through security, where we were informed that we could only take TWO plastic bags worth of toiletries, and the two bags of cosmetics were too much, so we had to return to the check-in counter and put our third bag through baggage. This was only our second BIG flight since 9-11! We'll know better for next time.

We are now spending a couple of days with our children and Carter, before flying out tomorrow night for London. So far our trip has been great, and it can only get better, if we get our luggage to arrive at Heathrow, at the same time we do. Wish us all the best. More to come........
